5th of February

The cluster has been off due to the heat here in Sydney, Australia. It got to 33 degrees last week so everything that could be off was off. A cool change came through and now everything is running again, however its forecast to get hot again so I will likely have to power down the cluster again.

Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit officially released

The Raspberry Pi foundation has officially launched Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit. I've been running the beta test version since June 2020. I don't think there is any difference between the official version and the beta version if you have been applying updates as they become available (which I have). I will try installing the official version on a Pi4 to see if there is anything different.

The official announcement can be found HERE and the new 64 bit download page HERE.

There are still some issues to iron out (eg Chromium browser and some apps like Netflix not working) and of course you'll need a 64 bit capable Pi (Pi3, Pi4, Pi400 and Pi Zero 2).
